Hi there -

My name is Ben. I have just moved back to the area after being away at University and College. Unforunately, I no longer know anybody in the area and so am trying to network a bit, get to know people and join one or two clubs.

I did some mountain biking when I was at Uni (only about twice though... Rolling Eyes

) and really quite enjoyed it. Unfortunately, my bike - which whilst being old, was a good mountain bike, was stolen in town (at Uni, not here in Witney)! I got an 'apollo' from halfords as a quick replacement. It isn't a very good bike at all - it feels 'rickety' but I needed it to travel from my house to lectures, so it did the job! I don't think it would be very good for mountain biking, so a new one may well be the way to go!

I was wondering if you all were still active? Also, what is the age range of the active/regular members? I am 27 in a couple of months - are people within that age range? I am not being age disciminate of course Laughing

, but it is always nice to meet people who are ones own age, too Smile

hello ben

we always welcome new members, so your welcome to join us any time, we ride every thursday night, nearly always 7pm and it starts at the windrush pub on burford road, ages of riders are anywhere from 12 and up (im 30)

we have a great group of riders, its not a race just a steady ride but good fun, if you go to the witney mountain bike club website you will be able to find contact info if you would like to know more,
